Issue with kgwas.stanford.edu

I am trying to access the KGWAS web site kgwas.stanford.edu behing a proxy/firewall. The GUI is not accessible due to the websocket connection not being established.
It looks like the initial connection using the wss://kgwas.stanford.edu/ fails, then it falls back to using a https and http connection, which fails with the error message:
Connection closed. Info: {"isTrusted":false}
