App version

2.16.1

Where did you get the app from

F-Droid

Are you using the "Parse full article" feature?

No

Android version

10

Device model

Huawei Honor 8X JSN-l23

First occurred

today

Steps to reproduce

  1. Add feed from https://sethmlarson.dev/feed

  2. Open the "All feed" tab

  3. App crashes

  4. Add feed from https://sethmlarson.dev/feed

  5. Open the added feed's tab

  6. App crashes

See attached the content of the feed at the time it's causing the crash. I added .txt at the end because github is st*pid... feed.atom.txt

Expected behaviour

At the bare minimum:

  • The app does not crash

Ideally:

  • A message is shown for faulty feeds or faulty items
  • Optionally user can ignore the faulty items or remove the feed

Stretch (more of a feature request):
This crash makes it obvious that there should be a way to manage current feeds (mark as read, remove, unsave etc.) without having to open the feed itself, since that is impossible if the feed is faulty. Currently I have no way to remove the faulty feed without losing all information about what I already read. So I lose access to my "All feeds" tab and have to go feed by feed to look for what's new.

Current behaviour

App crashes
