This is an issue to track comments, questions, pending things, and general changes regarding dependencies done for the Spyder 6.1.0a2 release.

  • Issue found related with the PaneEmptyWidget on the Plots plugin (to be fixed for 6.1.0a3): Error on PaneEmptyWidget resize event #24280

• Dependencies changes:

  • bcrypt >=4.3.0: Added as part of a fix for Spyder 6.0.6 - PR: Fix connecting to remote host with key file and passphrase (Remote client) #24086
  • packaging >=20.0 and setuptools removal: Added and removed dependencies as part of a fix for Spyder 6.0.6 - PR: Drop unnecessary runtime dependency on setuptools #24114
