TWS not responding.

"Hi everyone, I'm trying to connect to Interactive Brokers TWS via the API on macOS, but I keep getting an 'Operation not permitted' error (errno 1) when attempting to establish a socket connection. I've already enabled 'ActiveX and Socket Clients' in TWS settings and confirmed that TWS is running on port 7496. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? What could be causing this problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!"

The first thing that comes to mind is to ensure you are running the latest version of TWS/Gateway, as IB recently asked users to upgrade their systems before March. Gateway 10.30 and TWS 10.3 both connected without any problems as of today.
