Failed to install/load rnaturalearth, rgeos #2

Hi, there:
Many thanks for a great paper and some nice R scritps.
However, when I try to run scripts/main_script_plotting_all_results.R, I got the following error.
It seems that the R rgeos is already depreciated, and I could not install it.
Can you please let me know how to resolve this issue?
I understand that it has been 4 years since you guys released the code.
But I really hope there is an interest to keep this nice code up-to-date and able to run.
