clock widget pulling UTC time and not local time

on debian 12 system, confirmed running recommended node.js and npm versions

clock widget showing incorrect time, I believe it's pulling universal time instead of my local time.

the clock sensor already uses local time (uses the system timezone). what does timedatectl return? also, are you running this in a container like docker or snap?

timedatectl returns correct local time

tried enabling RTC in local TZ no effect

ok, so, the snap is probably not seeing the needed tz configuration. let me see if I can add timezone setting to the clock sensor to adjust for it in the sensor. thanks.

sweet! a manual setting would probably be handy either way - but I think it may have just magically fixed itself....

the two things I did:

• enabled RTC in local TZ
• in desktop environment, disabled automatic time

was fixed after reboot
