Decentralized Stable Coin (DSC) Protocol

Date: December 14, 2025

Core Invariant

The protocol maintains overcollateralization under the following condition:

The total USD value of collateral is greater than or equal to the total DSC supply
OR there exists at least one underwater position that can be profitably liquidated.

This reflects real-world economic reality: temporary undercollateralization after price crashes is acceptable as long as liquidation mechanisms can restore solvency.

Fuzz/Invariant Testing Summary

  • Handler: Bounded, multi-user handler with deposit, mint, redeem, burn, liquidate, and realistic price updates ($100–$100,000 range)
  • Runs: Thousands of random sequences across multiple campaigns
  • Key Findings:
    • No violations of core invariant when liquidation is active
    • Temporary undercollateralization observed after sharp price drops — expected and corrected via liquidation
    • No overflow/underflow in pricing math
    • No unauthorized minting or collateral withdrawal
    • Oracle manipulation bounded to realistic values

Known Limitations / Assumptions

  • Assumes rational liquidators act when profitable
  • Negative or zero prices prevented via OracleLib checks
  • Extreme price swings bounded in testing (real Chainlink feeds have additional safeguards)

Conclusion

The protocol is sound under modeled conditions. The overcollateralization invariant holds via a combination of preventive (health factor checks) and corrective (liquidation) mechanisms.

Ready for audit or mainnet deployment with monitoring.
