Easily pluggable service types

Limited Redis provisioning is something we've talked about supporting, but this would not be 1:1, it would be 1 Redis instance that can share to many, in the same way that a database currently does. But this suffers from some issues around access since there is no users like in a database, so all would have access to the same data in redis, probably not ideal.

If you're talking about being able to provision directly from a cloud provider for a 1:1 request, ie. environment A requests a redis instance, and gets a redis instance provisioned directly in <insert cloud provider> and only this environment has access to it, then this is not something we have planned to support currently.

For Opensearch, this would be a new thing too, and I am guessing you're asking about a 1:1 request here too? If not, can you please expand on your idea here.

Do you mean that Redis doesn't have these users? https://valkey.io/commands/acl-users/

Those users should at least allow separation by environment.

Regarding Opensearch, I agree that'd be a new thing. The point here was not so much that it be part of this discussion, but rather that it should be easy to add new service types, as long as the service supports users and some kind of ACL.
