  • After migrating every major part of IPS Peek to Avalonia, the next step needed will be to swap the remaining Windows Forms control, the Hex View. Viable candidate for an Avalonia-compatible hex view replacement for currently-used Be.HexEditor HexBox: https://github.com/Washi1337/AvaloniaHex Potential future option: https://github.com/abbaye/WpfHexEditorControl (if that, itself, is ever migrated to Avalonia: https://github.com/vector-man/WPFHexEditorControl.Avalonia).

  • The goal for v0.7 will involve: 1. Migrating existing Windows Forms UI elements to ReactiveUI (MvvM architecture) 2. Completely dropping Windows Forms support for most windows, dialogs, and UI elements. 3. Hosting current v0.6 hex editor in a Windows Forms control host, for backwards compatibility. 4. Retaining Windows-only support, until future milestones.
