Description

After integrating the Webex SDK via CocoaPods using the following specification:

pod 'WebexSDK/Meeting'

I encountered a build error in Xcode.

Environment

Xcode version: 26.0.1

Installation method: CocoaPods

Pod version: 1.16.2

Target platform: iOS

Error

Framework 'UCFBridge' not found

• Is there any missing dependency or additional setup required to include UCFBridge when using the WebexSDK/Meeting subspec?
• Any workaround or recommendation to resolve this issue?

Yes, the issue also occurs in the demo app. The main problem is that when I try to build and run the app on any iOS simulator (e.g., iPhone 17) under native Apple Silicon mode, the build fails with the following linker error:

ld: framework 'UCFBridge' not found
clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1

However, the app builds and runs successfully on:

• Physical iOS devices
• Simulators when Xcode is running under Rosetta

This indicates that the UCFBridge binary likely doesn’t include an arm64 simulator slice, which is required for simulators on Apple Silicon machines.
Running Xcode under Rosetta forces the simulator to use the x86_64 architecture, which explains why it works there but not natively.

By default, when installing the SDK, the arm64 architecture is excluded under Excluded Architectures for simulator builds. This allows the app to run only under Rosetta, but it prevents it from running on native Apple Silicon simulators.

You can confirm the missing slice by running the following command:

xcrun lipo -info UCFBridge.framework/UCFBridge

To fully resolve the issue, could you please provide an updated XCFramework that includes both:

• ios-arm64 (device)
• ios-arm64_x86_64-simulator (simulator)

This would ensure compatibility with both physical devices and modern simulators on Apple Silicon.

@AhmedAliAmin can you please confirm the SDK version that you're using? Also, are you facing the same issue in previous versions of XCode?

@Rudsriva Currently, I’m using WebexSDK/Meeting (3.16.0).
I haven’t tested it with previous versions of Xcode yet, as I’ve been working with the latest one. However, I believe the issue would still persist since the SDK doesn’t support either ios-arm64 (device) or ios-arm64_x86_64-simulator (simulator) architectures

@AhmedAliAmin team has tried again with xcode Version 26.1 also and it works fine. Can you please provide the folder structure of your project, a screenshot similar to the attach one?
