Release v25.3
New in the v25.3 release:
GNR-D MediaIP Enabling and verification with MRDA and MDSC Module and Examples.
- MediaResourceDirectAccess:
MediaResourceDirectAccess was enabled in GNR-D platform. The Media Resource Direct Access Library enables virtual machines (VMs) to directly access host hardware resources for performing media codec tasks. - Multidispscreencap:
This module contains a library and a sample to capture screen of multiple IDD displays and encode images in h264 format with ffmpeg library. - Examples:
1). MDSCMRDASample demonstrates MDSC library to capture the VM screen and leverage the MRDA feature to access the host machine's hardware resources.
2). SampleEncodeApp demonstrates the MRDA feature to access hardware resources for hardware-accelerated video encoding.
3). SampleDecodeApp demonstrates the MRDA feature to access the hardware resources for hardware-accelerated video decoding.
Release v24.9
This release adds two module components:
- MediaResourceDirectAccess:
The Media Resource Direct Access Library enables virtual machines (VMs) to directly access host hardware resources for performing media codec tasks.
- Multidispscreencap:
This module contains a library and a sample to capture screen of multiple IDD displays and encode images in h264 format with ffmpeg library.
Release v23.12
Tools for debug information collection
- Tool integration for host system information gathering, status monitoring, debug data gathering.

- Memory sharing device enablement for data sharing between VM-Host or VM-VM.
- Samples for Host-based encoding with Intel HW-acceleration.
- GPU-accelerated media encoding (MJPEG) enablement for SPICE.
GUI tool for Virtual Machine Monitoring
- GUI for virtual machine monitoring like vCPU/mem information.
- VM Desktop capture and display.
Release v23.9
This release adds Intel Flex dGPU support into VDI Toolkit:
- Script tools for vGPU installation and enablement in HOST
- Script tools for VDD (Intel Virtual Display Driver) enablement
- Sample code for Screen Capture and HW-accelerate Media Encoder
- Update Display adapters setting with only Intel’s GPU driver in Device Manager
- Validated for configuration of 1 server with 6 Flex170 Cards
Note: to setup a VDI with Flex dGPU support, Flex card should be ready, and relative drivers are gotten from official release site and installed
