If you don't have Git, you will be able to download it later but if you would like you can get it now by clicking here!
To run our program, it requires the installation of IntelliJ CE since it is a free, robust IDE.
Select the "Get from VCS" button. After copying the repository clone link, paste it into the URL box. If you see a button that says 'Download GIT', click that as well.
In the bottom right corner of the screen, there should be a loading bar that says "Background Tasks" or "Gradle build".
For a more detailed view, click the hammer icon in the bottom left. You will know when the building is complete when the 'build' progress bar disappears or the terminal outputs 'Build Successful'.
Hit the button on the far right of the screen that says Gradle (it has an elephant icon).
In this tab, you will see a collapsable menu. Click the arrow to expand the sections tasks --> forge gradle runs, as the image below shows. Double click 'genIntelliJRuns' and wait for it to complete.
After genIntelliJRuns is finished, double click the runClient task. This will launch the game if everything is done correctly!
If for some reason 'runClient' doesn't start up the game, navigate to the top right where 'DragoniteModCSE201' is displayed next to the hamburger menu, click the 'DM' icon, and click 'Get from Version Control...'
6. From here you can access the mod items by opening your inventory (default is 'E'), then navigating to the 2nd page of tabs through the arrow in the top right, click the Dragonite Mod tab (black scale icon) and you can access our mod items from here.
To learn the controls, press 'ESC' and navigate to the options button. Click this and then click 'Controls' then 'Keybinds' and it will list the controls for the game. To exit out of the menu, simple press 'ESC' again.
