As mentioned azlux#259, the previous instructions were unclear to some. Avoid human judgement by letting the shell code decide itself.
The closed issue is neither as insightful as the upsteam bug report nor will it be kept up to date.

My struggles are immortalised under #259.
Maybe the shell code is less elegant like this, but now it requires less mental effort. I also took the liberty to edit the surrounding explanatory comments.
