Welcome to the Movie Release Calendar! This project allows you to stay up-to-date with upcoming movie releases by region, using data fetched from IMDb. You'll get region-specific calendar files that you can easily subscribe to, ensuring you're always informed about the latest movie premieres in your country.

How to Subscribe to the Movie Release Calendar

You can easily subscribe to the calendar on both Google Calendar and Apple Calendar by following these instructions:

For Google Calendar:

1. Open Google Calendar on your computer.
2. On the left, click the "+" next to "Other calendars."
3. Select "From URL."
4. Copy and paste the URL of the region-specific calendar you wish to subscribe to:

5. Click "Add Calendar."
6. The calendar will now appear in your "Other calendars" list, and you'll be notified of upcoming movie releases.

For Apple Calendar (iPhone, iPad, or Mac):

1. Open Apple Calendar on your device.
2. On a Mac, go to File > New Calendar Subscription.
   On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Calendar > Accounts > Add Account > Other > Add Subscribed Calendar.
3. Copy and paste the URL of the region-specific calendar:

4. Click Subscribe and choose how often you want the calendar to update (e.g., weekly).
5. Click OK, and the calendar will be added to your Calendar app.

What Does This Project Do?

• It fetches the latest movie release dates from IMDb based on your selected region.
• Automatically creates a region-specific calendar file with all the new movie releases.
• Ensures no duplicate events by checking against previously processed entries.
• The calendars are automatically updated when new data is fetched.
