This PR is enabling automatic apply of "hover" options.
This PR needs a couple of enhancements in Chart.js: chartjs/Chart.js#11105. Chart.js PR has been tagged for version 4.3.0
For above reason, the milestone will be next major because we should change the minimum version for Chart.js dependency.
