A standalone lightweight e-mail client inspired by Geary focused on achieving the following goals:

• Resource Efficiency - Minimal CPU, RAM, and battery consumption
• Modern UX - Clean, intuitive interface with dark mode support
• Keyboard & Mouse Friendly - Full keyboard navigation with vim-style shortcuts
• Independence - No dependency on Gnome Online Accounts or other system services
• Search That Works - Basic search that actually finds your emails

🚀 Installation

Download from the release page:

• Linux: Binary Tarball (Flatpak coming soon)
• MacOS: .app
• Windows: .exe

For Linux ~

1. Install dependency if it's not already on your system:

Debian/Ubuntu:

sudo apt install libwebkit2gtk-4.1-0

Fedora:

sudo dnf install webkit2gtk4.1

Arch Linux:

sudo pacman -S webkit2gtk-4.1

2. Download the latest tarball for:

• amd64
• arm64

3. Untar and install:

tar -xzvf aerion-linux-*.tar.gz
cd aerion-linux-<arch>
./install.sh
# This install script will give you a choice to install it system-wide or just for the user.
# Follow the prompts and complete the installation.

Note: AppImage support has been removed due to webkit bundling incompatibilities. See archive/AppImage/README.md for technical details.
