This fixes the imminent issues with ggplot2 v4.0.0 as well as various doc issues that CRAN has begun flagging.
What it does not (yet) fix is the extrafont issue (except removing it as a dependency). systemfonts now makes it very easy to vendor font files with packages using the
systemfonts::add_fonts()function but that only works for ragg/svglite or other graphics devices using systemfonts. I don't know if you wish to go down that road so I haven't done that work yet
