Creating the MA

Follow these steps to create and configure the ACMA Management Agent:

  1. Install the Lithnet.Acma.MA.msi component
  2. Open the MIM Synchronization Service application
  3. On the Management Agents tab, click Create in the Actions pane
  4. Select ACMA rules engine (Lithnet) from the management agent type drop down list
  5. On the Connectivity tab, specify the SQL Server and database name
  6. Specify the full path to the ACMAX configuration file. Ensure the MIM Synchronization Service account has read access to this location. ACMAX configuration files are created with the ACMA editor
  7. Specify the full path to the log file that ACMA will create. Ensure the MIM Synchronization Service account has read and write access to this location
  8. Follow the normal process of configuring your MA's object types, attributes, and flows. Note that the objectId attribute is mandatory and must be selected

Important Notes

  • It is recommended that you do not store the log or configuration file in the MIM extensions folder. Choose a dedicated location to hold your ACMA configuration and log files.
  • Ensure proper permissions are set on the configuration and log file locations
  • Test the MA configuration in a development environment before deploying to production
