Summary of ChangesHello @adamdecaf, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed! This pull request enhances the ACH file processing capabilities by ensuring that Addenda05 records are properly copied and persisted during batch mirroring operations. The changes address a gap in data preservation for these specific addenda types, and new tests have been implemented to verify the correct behavior across different file transformation scenarios, thereby improving the reliability and completeness of ACH file handling. Code Review
This pull request adds functionality to copy Addenda05 records when mirroring ACH entries. The core logic change is in pkg/response/batch_mirror.go, and it's supported by a new test case in pkg/response/file_transformer_test.go using a new test data file.
My review has a few suggestions:
- The addenda copying logic is specific to
Addenda05. It would be more robust to handle other addenda types, likeAddenda02, to prevent data loss with other SEC codes. - The new test has a minor copy-paste error in a comment.
- The structure of the new test could be improved to make the sub-tests independent, which would enhance maintainability.
