UAT: IskoTool

⭐ This is the final release of IskoTool, a planning and productivity app.

The UAT was accomplished to validate the functional goals and usability of IskoTool.
The final features of the app are:

⏲Pomodoro Timer

• Start the timer in three modes: work mode (25 minutes), short break mode (5 minutes), long break mode (20 minutes)
• Create a custom mode with a custom duration
• Choose a ringtone that will play when the timer runs out (two choices: digital alarm sound or a bell sound)
• Save custom modes to localStorage

📝Notes

• Create, edit and delete notes, with emoji input capability
• Word count and character count
• Pin notes to the start of the list (as well as unpin)
• Search your notes
• Save your notes to localStorage

📅Planner and Calendar

• Planner View: compresses the calendar into a 7-day view relative to the current day
• Create, edit and delete events
• Four event types: General, Birthday, and Appointment, and Holiday
• Togglable search bar: click the magnifying glass icon to start up an event search
• Jump to the current date, to a specified month and year, or to an existing event
• Save events to localStorage

☑ To-do List

• Add an item by entering a name and pressing Enter
• Complete an item by clicking the checkbox. Completed items will be sent to the bottom of the list

🏠 Dashboard

• See a preview of upcoming events for the day and for the month
• See the current time and date
• Navigate back to the dashboard from each page through a home icon in the top left

Sprint 5: IskoTool

⭐ This is the fifth release of IskoTool, a planning and productivity app.

Sprint 5 accomplished the following goals:

☑ Added a new feature: To-do List!

• Adding an item is simple—type in a name and press Enter to add it to your list
• Complete an item by clicking the checkbox. Completed items will be sent to the bottom of the list
• Deleting an item:
  • Initially done by double clicking an item, but would not work if double clicking within the text input
  • Now deleting an item is done by clicking the red 'X' button

✨Improved UI

• Lots of refined icons
• Now displays the new IskoTool logo in the Dashboard

🔍Made a toggleable search bar in Calendar/Planner

• Click the magnifying glass icon to start up an event search

🔔Added another ringtone for the Pomodoro

• Choose between the digital alarm sound or a bell sound

☀Improved Planner

• Planner now displays more info like the time and event type

🏠Added a Back to Dashboard button

• Navigate back to the dashboard through a home icon in the top left

Sprint 4: IskoTool

⭐ This is the fourth release of IskoTool, a planning and productivity app.

Sprint 4 accomplished the following goals:

Turned the app from a browser app into a native desktop app with the Electron JS framework

• Yay! 🙌

📅 Significantly improved the calendar and planner functionality and usability

• Display multiple events in a day, sorted by time
• Smoother input for birthday and holiday event types
• Expand event details
• Better calendar navigation
  • jumping to a specified month and year
  • jumping to the current day
  • jumping to an existing event
• Overall looks cleaner and with responsive animations

📝Introduced new notes features:

• Pin/unpin a note
• Word and character count
• Emoji input

🏠 Furbished the dashboard:

• Now displays upcoming events for the day and for the month
• Allows navigation to the other pages through stylized buttons

Sprint 3: IskoTool

⭐ This is the third release of IskoTool, a planning and productivity app.

Sprint 3 accomplished the following goals:

• Build a calendar with the following features:

  • creating and displaying multiple-day events
  • a search function
  • classifying events into three types: General, Birthday, and Appointment
  • saving (and loading) created events to and from the browser's localStorage
  • 💡 Also comes with a Week Planner that compresses the calendar into a 7-day view relative to the current day.

• Polished the Notes feature, now with a cleaner and more intuitive UI that is user-friendly! 💖

• Polished the Pomodoro timer, introducing:

  • an alert sound that plays when the timer drops to 0
  • UI fixes

Sprint 2: IskoTool

⭐ This is the second release of IskoTool, a planning and productivity app.

Sprint 2 accomplished the following goals:

• Build a functional Notes app, with the following features:

  • word and character count
  • pinning notes to the top of the list
  • search notes by title
  • saving (and loading) notes to and from the browser's local storage

• Polished the Pomodoro timer, now implementing the following features:

  • dedicated mode selection and start button
  • pause button
  • UI bug fixes
  • saving (and loading) user-made custom modes to the browser's local storage

• Allowed for navigation between the Notes, Pomodoro and the Home page

Sprint 1: IskoTool

⭐ This is the first release of IskoTool, a planning and productivity app.

Sprint 1 accomplished the following goals:

• Build a functional Pomodoro timer, with the standard work, short break and long break intervals
• Implement a custom mode feature that allows custom intervals
• Create a UI based on the prototype
