In this PR, we are updating to use the GitHub Pages action (actions/deploy-pages) instead of manually committing to a gh-pages branch.
The actions are now also consolidated so that they are always built from scratch rather than relying on the the most recent workflow run containing the correct artifact.
Environments have been removed, as they no longer seem useful in this context, and end up cluttering the PR pages with multiple deployments, especially in the case of failed deployments.
