To get started, follow the steps below to download and install SafeLink Inspector.

You can download SafeLink Inspector from our Releases page.

  1. Click on the link above to visit the Releases page.
  2. Locate the latest version of SafeLink Inspector.
  3. Click on the file that corresponds to your system. For Chrome extensions, this typically involves a .crx file or similar. For the FastAPI backend, you might find a .zip file.
  4. Click to download the file to your computer.

For Chrome Installation

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Go to the Extensions page by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner, selecting "More tools," and then "Extensions."
  3. Turn on "Developer mode" located at the top right of the Extensions page.
  4. Drag and drop the downloaded .crx file into the Extensions page. Chrome will prompt you to confirm the installation.
  5. Click "Add extension" to complete the installation.

For FastAPI Backend

  1. Unzip the downloaded file.
  2. Open a command prompt or terminal.
  3. Navigate to the folder where you unzipped the files.
  4. Run the command to start the server. (Ensure you have Python installed on your machine.)
    python -m fastapi_main
  5. Open your browser and go to http://localhost:8000 to access the backend.
