The Empire Space

The Empire Space is an region governed entirely by The Empire Navy. It is an rich region of space where all most advanced outfits can be found, where you can find almost any primal materials for the cheapest prizes in the whole galaxy. It is also where the Mineria Colonies produce their material and products and where the Lifdot Industries industrialize all their navy ships and variants ships for all the merchants of the region. Excepted that, it is a common region of space and no special hazards happens in this system, unless in the Lifdot system where the red neutron star sometimes do some explosion that do serious damage to the systems of the ship, but don't worry about that if you have an Empire Countermeasure Module, you'll be safe.

The Far Empire Space

The Far Empire Space is a large region governed by The Empire Navy. Most of the systems are uninhabited. You can find some Empire Rebels outposts near the frontiers of the region, that is pretty dangerous. In the most parts of the region you will find an hazard that deal some ion and shield damage to your ships that are really serious, but if you have an Empire Countermeasure Module, you'll be okay. There is a little region of 3 system inside the Far Empire Space named "The Triangle", in this region of the space the far empire space hazard is particularly intense. Many ships entered these systems but didn't return back...

The Rebels Deep

The Rebels Deep is the very north part of the original Deep region. It is controlled by Empire Rebels and Pirates often go here. It is the home planets for the Empire Rebels. Many Merchants that go near this region never come back... Deep Security fleets are often sent in the frontier systems but it's rare to see them come back to the Republic successfully. It's a very dangerous place to be if you're not friend with the Empire Rebels.

Lumbarian Space

The Lumbarian Space covers a few systems in the Paradise Planets. It is governed by the Lumbarian Empire. No captains allied to the Cromha Empire are allowed to travel in it, and will be shot at sight.

The Core

The Core is a collection of systems in the eastern region of human space. The majority of the Core is controlled by the Syndicate, a massive megacorporation that is the largest employer in Republic space and since the year of 3010, the systems of Alpha Hydri, Sheratan, Polaris, Achernar, Alpheratz and Ruchbah are under the government of The Cromha Empire. While the Syndicate is part of the Republic, it has a great deal of autonomy, to the point that the Core is largely patrolled by the Syndicate's private security forces instead of the Republic Navy.

The Syndicate is not the only power in the Core; the northern and southern regions are home to several pirate worlds, while the eastern and northeastern regions are occasionally subject to raids from the Korath, an alien species that resides in the galactic core. The Empire Navy created a jump tunnel (wormhole) in the Alpha Hydri system to connect it to the Alpha Cromha system in the Empire Space.

The Deep

The Deep is a highly advanced region with planets that are all named for locations in Norse mythology. The Deep is one of the safest and most advanced regions of human space. Shipyards and outfitters in the Deep offer some technology that is unique in human space, such as atomic engines, heavy laser weapons, and armscoops. The Empire Navy created a jump tunnel (wromhole) in the Markeb system to connect to the Lifdot system in the Empire Space.

The Paradise Worlds

The Paradise Wolrds is one of the wealthiest regions in human space, but it also contains extreme inequality.

Many of the planets in this area have been perfectly terraformed, and the power to change the weather is available to those wealthy enough to afford it. The rich live in comfortable homes, often with several servants. They live safe and comfortable lives, not needing to worry about their future.

Many people however, live in poverty. Many people live in cramped apartments, and many work as servants for the rich. When people become too old to work, they will often not be able to afford to live here anymore and move to other regions such as Earth.

The Dirt Belt

The Dirt Belt is a collection of systems running from the west to the south of human space. Many of the planets are recently settled and are not very habitable, and so are some of the poorer systems in Human space. Their economies are agricultural, and are the main food producers of the Republic, supplying to much more populated sectors like the Paradise Worlds, the Deep), and the Core, and the highly populated planets near Earth. Most of the populations of these planets live in villages or on farmsteads, and are wary of the corruption and poverty in the cities. Even the larger cities, however, only have populations of about 60 thousand.

The Rim

The Rim is a mostly separated section located at the far left of human space. It can only be entered from the bottom. The planets are mostly habitable and are moderately wealthy, but are not as highly populated as the Deep or the Core. However, they are often the target of pirate attacks and are not defended properly by the Navy. The entirety of the Rim breaks off from the Republic and becomes part of the Free Worlds during its formation.

The Rim celebrates Han Sizer Month during August.

Far North

The Far North is a collection of systems that is largely claimed by the Republic. The system of Alnitak serves as the northernmost extent of the republic's settled systems, with a collection of anarchist worlds further to the north serving as the base of operations for the Northern Pirates.

The South

The South is a collection of systems in the southern regions of human space. Like the nearby Rim, the South is usually not defended properly by the Republic Navy and is often the target of pirate attacks, with several worlds in the South serving as their bases of operations. In an attempt to combat the pirate threat, several worlds in the Rim and the western half of the South formed the Southern Mutual Defense Pact, which would later become the Free Worlds.

Humans are not the only species to colonize the South; the easternmost region is controlled by the Quarg, a powerful and ancient alien race that humans made contact with centuries ago.

Near Earth

Earth is the homeworld of humanity, and is now the capital planet of the Republic. Earth is densely populated with about twenty billion inhabitants, far more than any other human planet (the next closest is Chiron with ten billion). It mostly relies on food shipments from the Dirt Belt. Earth is not a great place to live, and many people want to leave the planet.

Wanderer Space

Wanderer Space is a region to the north of Human and Hai space that is home to the Wanderers, a species of birdlike aliens. Wanderer Space is normally only accessible through the use of a Jump Drive; however, a wormhole connects it to Korath during the Wanderer Storyline. The Empire Navy created a jump tunnel (wormhole) in the north uninhabited system of the Wanderer Space to connect to the Wel'y system in the Far Empire Space.

Hai Space

Hai Space is a region in the northeast of human space that is home to the Hai, a species of squirrel-like aliens. Since the Cromha Empire established in the Korath Space now called Empire Space, many new systems that connect the actual Empire Space and the old Korath Space to the Hai Space. It make so the Cromha Empire can exchange with the Hai. It let them share technology and commodities.

Sayrds

The Saryds are one of the spacefaring species of the Coalition. They occupy the south-western area of Coalition space. The ships they have are light and heavy freighters.

Kimek

The Kimek are one of the three spacefaring species in the Coalition. They occupy the northern end of Coalition space. Interestingly, the northern end is also where hints of rebellion is mentioned on planets. All of the members of the Coalition have equal representation in the Heliarch.

Arachi

he Arachi are one of the three species of the Coalition. They occupy the south-eastern part of Coalition space, which is the area bordering human space. They specialize in making freighters.

The Ember Waste

The Ember Waste can be separated into four main sections. Each section is filled with dying red stars, along with a rough red background mist quite unlike the calm blue found elsewhere in the galaxy.

The Ember Waste has two system hazards. It has a constant increased heat as well as occasional storms which deal ion damage and also shield and hull damage.

Crossing the Ember Waste requires many consecutive jumps, even with the wormhole chains assisting. However, ramscoops are generally more efficient within the Waste, since the many old stars generate high amounts of solar wind. The Empire Navy created a jump tunnel in the Pantica system that connect to the Solifar system in the north of the Empire-Korath Space. They also have an Empire Remnant Embassade station in the pantica system that allow them to keep contact with the Remnant.

The Graveyard

The Graveyard is divided into two main sections, the north and the south, which are connected only by wormholes. Like the neighboring Ember Waste, it is a wasteland, with the remnants of dead civilizations.

Systems in the Graveyard have two system hazards. They have a constant increased heat as well as occasional storms which deal ion damage and also shield and hull damage. If the player go enough in the Empire Storyline, a station called "Black Manta Spacial Dock" will appear in the Delia system in the north part of the Graveyard.
