This is a major UI/UX overhaul designed to make P.U.R.G.E. not just powerful, but a pleasure to use. We've listened to feedback and refined every corner of the application for a more intuitive and professional workflow.

✨ What's New?

  • Total UI Redesign: The layout has been completely restructured. The sidebar is now dedicated to core actions, while search, filtering, and selection controls have been moved to a compact bar directly above the package list, right where you need them.
  • The Big Purge Button: You can't miss it! The primary "Purge" button is now a large, pill-shaped, can't-miss-it call to action that's only enabled when you have packages to remove.
  • Visual Progress Bar: Long uninstall operations no longer happen in the dark. A progress bar appears right under the Purge button, giving you real-time feedback on the process.
  • Polished Controls:
    • The header has been redesigned for a cleaner, more professional look.
    • The Reboot Device button is now a full-width, secondary-style button.
    • The search bar and filter dropdowns in the top control bar are now perfectly aligned and more compact.
  • Bug Fixes & Code Health:
    • Fixed a bug where dependencies and needed_by information was not being displayed for packages. This critical information is now visible again.
    • Switched to safer emojis with broader font support.

Happy Debloating! 🥳

We are thrilled to announce the first stable release of the Universal Android Debloater, completely rewritten in Rust!

This v1.0.0 release marks a major milestone, bringing the power and safety of Rust to the world of Android debloating. Our goal was to create a tool that is not only powerful and effective but also beautiful, incredibly fast, and a joy to use. We believe we've achieved that.

✨ What's New in v1.0.0

This initial release is packed with features designed to provide a seamless and efficient debloating experience:

  • 🚀 Modern, Intuitive Interface: A complete UI overhaul built from the ground up with egui. The new layout is clean, logical, and focuses on user experience.
  • ⚡ Blazing-fast Performance: Experience the raw speed of a native Rust application. From startup to listing thousands of packages, every action is instantaneous.
  • 🔍 Powerful Filtering & Search:
    • Instantly search for any package by its name.
    • Filter the package list by Removal Status (Recommended, Advanced, Expert, etc.).
    • Filter by the curated UAD Lists (OEM, Carrier, Google, etc.).
  • ℹ️ Detailed Package Information: Make informed decisions. Each package card can be expanded to show its description, dependencies, and what other packages might need it.
  • 核心功能 Core Debloating Functionality:
    • Detect Device: Reliably check the ADB connection to your device.
    • List Packages: Quickly load and display all installed packages.
    • Uninstall Selected: Batch remove multiple packages with a single click.
    • Reboot Device: Conveniently restart your device directly from the app.
  • 📦 Self-Contained & Portable: The required ADB binaries are embedded directly into the executable. No need to install ADB separately! Just download and run.
  • 💻 Cross-Platform by Design: A single codebase that runs natively on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

🙏 A Huge Thank You

This project stands on the shoulders of giants. The core intelligence—the uad_lists.json file—is sourced directly from the original Universal Android Debloater project. All credit for this invaluable data goes to 0x192 and the many contributors who have maintained it.

🛣️ What's Next?

This is just the beginning! We have a lot planned for the future, including:

  • Disabling and re-enabling packages (in addition to uninstalling).
  • Saving and loading custom package selection lists.
  • Improved multi-device support.
  • Even more UI and theme refinements.

We hope you enjoy using this new tool as much as we enjoyed building it. Your feedback is welcome!
