The "start point" (P1427) property links to the Wikidata item for the location the expedition started from. Ideally this statement should link to the location item that represents the place the expedition started from at the time of the expedition. This property, as well as the "via" (P2825) and "destination point" (P1444) properties, can be used where the expedition has a known itinerary.
