2.19 Via (P2825)
The "via" (P2825) property can be used in conjunction with the "start point" (P1427) and "destination point" (P1444) properties to provide an itinerary for an expedition. Statements made using the "via" property (P2825) should link to the location item that represents the place the expedition visited at the time of that expedition. Editors should ensure that historical names for locations are used if appropriate.
If possible each statement should be qualified with either a "point in time" (P585) statement or alternatively "start time" (P580) and "end time" (P582) statements to indicate the time the expedition spent at each location.
See as an example item the United States Exploring Expedition.
See also the Wiki pages for "start point" (P1427) and "destination point" (P1444).
