2.18 Start point (P1427)
The "start point" (P1427) property links to the Wikidata item for the location the expedition started from. This property can be used in conjunction with the "via" (P2825) and "destination point" (P1444) properties to provide an itinerary for an expedition.
Ideally this statement should link to the location item that represents the place the expedition started from at the time of the expedition. It should also be qualified with a "point in time" (P585) statement. See as an example item the United States Exploring Expedition.
See also the Wiki pages for "via" (P2825) and "destination point" (P1444).
